        Places where readers can conformably take notes
        
        Times where one feels awake and energised
        
        Reading in times set aside specifically for reading in which you know you won't be interrupted
        
        Ensuring you have everything you need on you including reading resources, note taking material etc
        
        Reading with a goal
        
        summaries readings as it is easier to go back when looking for references
        
        Make mind maps so you can get a picture of what the reading was about when you need it
        
        Take notes specified for upcoming assessments
        
        If you find something that you think relates to an assessment then put a note next to it

        Putting down what you read into writing
        
        Maintaining constant grip on what you're reading and not
        losing focus
        
        Focusing on large chunks of reading at a time and taking time to make sense of them
        
        Re-reading things in order to unravel what is being said
