        The platform is in a vat of photopolymer resin. The platform is connected to an elevator. The laser source generates and fires a laser that solidifies parts of the photopolymer to form a layer of the part/prototype. The elevator then lowers before repeating the process until the product is formed. A resin-filled blade sweeps across cross-section of the part re-coating it with fresh material.
      - Control
        
        Laser is guided by servomotors that drive a set of mirrors to reflect the laser to appropriate location.
- - - - Set Up
        
        Chamber heated to operating temperature and filled with nitrogen. 3-D CAD data is inputted into SLS and sliced into parts.
      - Process
        
        Roller rolls a layer of powder onto the powder bed. Laser fires into the scanner system that is redirected onto the scanner system. Chamber heats up the powder to just below its melting point. Laser then draws a cross-section of the part to sinter the powder. Piston of Powder bed lowers so next layer can form. The process repeats until part is formed.

        Controls the building process, slices the parts and prepares the .STL files.
      - Process Chamber
        
        Roller, Powder Bed, Scanner System, Laser.
      - Atmosphere Control
        
        Houses the equipment to filter gas recirculated from the process chamber, maintain set temperature on air flowing into process chamber and regulates nitrogen atmosphere in unit.
