Was really aggressive with the other countries, insisted on violence

Was on Austria’s side to start war with Serbia for killing their archduke (allies in the Triple Alliance)
Europeans (mostly Germany) wanted to engage in war to show European domination, bullied other countries to start the war
AUGUST 1, 1914 – Germans declare war on Russia.
AUGUST 2, 1914 – Germans issue an ultimatum to Belgium, which was a
neutral country, demanding that they be allowed to pass through to France.
Belgium declines this ultimatum and Great Britain, which respected
Belgium neutrality, decides to take action.
AUGUST 3, 1914 – Germany declares war on France and invaded Belgium.
Italy, meanwhile, declares neutrality.
