Hospitality is not just about cooking, its dealing with people and making them feel happy.
A positive is maintaining yourself to keep the customers happy.
A negative is that you might have to stand up all day,
e.g. Chefs will be busy cooking for the customers which means they will be standing up for hours and causes their legs to feel tired and sore from standing too long.
Also there is a lot of cleaning to do e.g washing the dishes, moping, sweeping, etc... to keep the restaurant clean and tidy for visitors.
It's important that students study hospitality in school because hospitality is one of the largest industries in New Zealand which means that students will be offered a lot of opportunities from this course.
In this course, students will gain the skills of cooking and presentation also how to serve people the right way.
