Push Factors
Push factors are a set of reasons that push people out of their homes and force them to immigrate. These factors could include religious persecution, environmental problems, and many other things.

UNCLOS treaty laws The UNCLOS or "United nations Convention on the Law Of the Sea" treaty is a worldwide treaty that essentially defines the law of the sea, and international waters
Contiguous zone
The contiguos zone is the area from 12 miles to 24 miles off a countries coastline. This zone the state has limited control, but is still able to prevent infringement of the countries well being, and exert some force over people inside of these waters.
Exclusive Economic zone
The exclusive economic zone is the area within 200 miles of a countries coastline. A countries exclusive economic zone is the area in which a country has full rights to any trade happening within. This includes fishing, oil drilling, and other activities that generate revenue
International Waters
International waters are the areas of the ocean where no single country has full sovereignty, rather, everyone on earth shares them. there are several laws in place that help to maintain these areas, which also happen to take up the majority of the ocean.
Median-line principle
The median-line principle is a section of the UNCLOS treaty that states that any two countries who are closer than a certain distance will find the line which divides the countries equally.
Territorial waters
Territorial waters are the waters which extend from a countries landmass to 12 miles offshore. All the same laws that apply on land also apply within these 12 miles.
Pull Factors
Pull factors are a group of factors that attract immigrants due to incentives and better conditions than their prior home. This could include better job opportunities, better environment, or a better political system, but these are not the only pull factors

Industrialization is the stage in a countries development that is a transition between a mostly stage 1 based economy of gathering raw materials to a stage 2 economy, which consists mostly of manufacturing these raw goods into goods that people can use
Greenhouse gasses. greenhouse gasses are the reason our climate is progressively getting warmer worldwide.
CO2
CO2 is the greenhouse gas primarily created by anything that burns fossil fuels aside from natural gas. This includes most of the power plants in the world and most forms of transportation

Methane is a greenhouse gas produced on a smaller scale than CO2, mostly coming from cows and natural gas, but it is a significantly more dangerous greenhouse gas in that it is a much more effective at trapping heat.

Demography is the study of people at its core. It partially consists of measuring death rates, birth rates, and infant mortality. Knowing these statistics can help build a bigger picture of what a place's quality of life is.
Life expectancy, infant mortality, and total fertility rates are all measures of demographic structures. these statistics can help us make population pyramids for a country.

Absolute location
Absolute location is the exact measure of where something is using the lines of longitude and latitude.
Global Positioning System
GPS is a system which uses satellites to locate something's absolute location anywhere in the world.
Relative Location
Relative location is the measure of where something is in relation to something. An object's relative location is usually compared to something with a well know geographical location, such as a mountain, store, or house
Geographic Information System
GIS is essentially a system that allows people to gather, share, manipulate, and analyze all sorts of geographical data. It always utilizes data that measures something spacial.
