Economy: a system of production (making stuff), consumption (buying or using stuff), and distribition (moving stuff) of goods and services. In particular geographic regions.
Economic Sectors:
Scondary Sector: activitys thatinvolve turning raw materials into finished products of greater value. It is manurfacturing.

Tercierary Sector: these are actvieties that involve the distribution of goods or materials; and activitys that involve performing a service.

Geographic Causes of Inequality: it can be because of undomesticable animals and crops, tropical climates, bad harbors, and wild rivers. The success of a civilization is based on their geographic luck.

Human Development Index: this is like the GDP, but it takes into account things like life expectancy, income, and education levels. The closer the number calculated is to 1 then the more developed it is.
Urbanization: this is when people leave the countryside to go to the city, in order to get a better life.
Gross Domestic Product (GDP): is the total value of goods and servicies produced in a country over a period of 1 year. GDP measures prodution.
The equation for this is: GDP = C + I + G + NX C = Consumer spending: how much did people buy? I = Business spending: how much did businesses spend? G = How much did government spend (producing stuff)? NX = Exports minus Imports
Geopolititics: The use of strategys by countrys to ensure that their intrest have been served. Example Geopolitical issues are Catalonia and independance from Spain and Brexit.
Sovereignty: A country that is self governing (not nessesarily with democratic ideas [normally not]), and conducts its international affairs without any interferacnce from the outside.
Push and Pull Factors:
Push factors are negative reasons why people would want to leave a place. This could be because of unemployment, war, or a natural disaster.
Pull factors are positive reasons that someone would want to move to that place. Reasons could be jobs and safety.

Asylum: protection from arrest/deportation given to refugees by a nation, embassy, or agency.

Ethnonationalism: advocacy or support for the political issues of one perticular ethnic group, especially its independance. It's like the move 8 Appellidos Catalanes y Bascos.
Basic Geography: Definition of geog. The study of the planets surface and the processes that shape it. These can include climate, plate tectonics, animals, natural resources, migration, and boarders.
Physical Geography: This study of earths physical processes. This includes things like climate, mountain ranges and plate tectonics.
Human Geography: The study of various aspects of human life. This can include culture, religion, and boarders.

Climotographs: These are graphs that show monthly average precipitation and monthly average temperature. The bars are precipitation and the line is the temperature. If it is in the northern hemisphere then the line looks like and umbrella. If it is in the southern hemisphere then the line is a bucket.
Climate vs. Weather: Climate is the long term pattern in weather, or the average pattern. The weather is the conditions of the atmosphere now.
