WHO AM I?
BODY DIAGRAM: The educator will have a blown up diagram of the body and they will explore the different features of the body as well as touch on the bones.

LABELING OUR BODY: The children will get the chance to use body parts labels and they will have to try and place them all on their body

CLASS POSTER: The children help trace the outline of the educator and as a class they will add all the different features. They will also add labels of the different body parts and features and work together to to place them in the correct place.

SELF PORTRAITS: Children will draw a self portrait using a mirror. They will draw all their facial features.

BODY DRAWING: Children will get into pairs and trace each other on butchers paper and then add the features of the body

NUMBER OF FEATURES: Complete a worksheet where they have to fill in the number of feature on the body, e.g I have 2 eyes

MIND MAP: The children will participate in a brainstorming session where they will be asked questions such as "Can you tell me the name of some of the different parts of your body?"

MYSTERY BOX: The educator will place objects related to the body, such as toy bones, glasses, shoes etc and then the children will get a turn to place their hands in the box and guess what the object is.

PHONIC SOUNDS: The children will work on the "sh" sound during a mat session, we will be using the "sh" words from the book "Parts" by Tedd Arnold

SYLLABLE CLAPPING: The children will gather in small groups and practice clapping different syllable sounds for simple word they have heard during the other lessons

FLASH CARDS: The children will sit in small groups and look at flash cards and tell the educator what the image in the picture is called

SOUND ACTIVITY: The children will listen to different sounds and identify what they are

SIMON SAYS: The children will all participate in a game of Simon says and focus on identifying their body parts

MATCHING WORDS TO IMAGES: As a class the children will each get a turn to match the name of the different body parts on the poster of the body.

LOOKING AT THE BODY: As a class we will look at the page about bodies in the book "Here we are" by Oliver Jeffers and discuss the different features, they will also look at the different features on all the different people in the book

MY SENSES: The children will watch a video about the 5 senses and then have a class discussion about how we use them.

PUZZLE TABLE: The children will have the chance to explore different puzzles based on the "my body " theme

DANCE TIME: The children will watch a dance video and follow along with the videos and copy the actions and be active.

DRAWING TABLE: The children will be able to attend the drawing table throughout all the lessons and there will be images related to all the different topic for them to draw inspiration from.

VEGETABLE SONG: The children will watch a video of a vegetable song and then once it is over we will discuss what our favourite vegetable is and why. why.

TABLE OF CONNECTION: As a class the children will make a table and state where and how our 5 senses connect to our body parts, e.g. our eyes are on our head

MATCHING A SENSE TO BODY PARTS:The children will be given a table with the 5 different senses on it and they will have to match the body part to the correct sense

STICKER ACTIVITY: The children will use the stickers and stick them along the outline of the images of body parts.
