Location: Where is it?

Relative location: Where something is based on where you are (N, S, E, W)

Region: location
Physical or natural: Based on climate, landforms, vegetation, etc.
Formal: Official, well defined, measurable characteristics
Functional: Defined by interactions, things connected to center point
Perceptual: Less defined, based on feelings and atitudes

Physical geography: Where physical features are like rivers, countries, mountains, etc. It can be used to see why people are moving to certain places.
Geopolitics: An issue among countries for territory, resources or influence

Asylum: People who go across another country's border and ask for a visa after they are in that country

Economic Geography
Economy: System of production, consumption and distribution of goods and services in an area

Secondary sector: Activities involving turning raw materials into finished products of greater value
