How they are produced
B-lymphocytes (WBC) are taken from a mouse which was injected with a chosen antigen so it targets a specific antigen found on a pathogens surface
Tumour cell merged with the B-lymphocyte and fused with electricity to stimulate it to divide to create a hybridoma in a growth medium
The hybridoma starts dividing in the growth medium, and the cells the antibodies produced are harvested and purified
