The term "political correctness" (Cameron, 1995) was originally a light-hearted jab at ourselves for not following our political beliefs too closely. "humorously acknowledging (our) contradictions" (Mooney, 2011, 43). It's use today is quite different.
Angles of telling within a sentence can tell us which is the crucial part to be highlighted and focused on.
Every language choice gives away our ideology, or, our habitual ways of thinking about the world in which we live.
