Militarism is the belief that a nation should maintain a large and strong military that would be used to protect the country and fight in wars
Examples of militarism include Kaiser william II raising up his navy so he could compete with the british. They also raised up their armies by getting people to join using nationalistic propaganda and along with that new weapons were invented that could kill a lot more people in a short amount of time
Militarism affected ww1 because nations built up thier armies, making them larger and stronger. More soliders led to more death during ww1.

The main alliances in ww1 are the triple entente and the triple alliance. The triple enente included france britian, and russia. The triple alliance include austria-hungary, germany, and italy.
Alliances played a major role in ww1. The allied powers could supply resources, troops, and support to the other allies. They helped them win battles and they also protected them when they were being attacked.
