What was daily life for Ancient Romans?
Even tough they lived near the sea Rome would not offer many harbors.
Most of the people did not have a lot of resources.
Most kids do not live over teenager age which is sad because a lot of them die when they are in the prime of there life and then right then they would die.
Some of the most brutal wars would break out just from the blue for a while
Most Roman teenagers were not trusted to make a business deal until he has turned 25.
For a soldiers wars were like there everyday thing.
Every here and there a Roman teenager and his friends would take a chillaxing break in the hot tub.
They would have dinner without about 7 to 10 people and have slaves attend all there needs.
A soldiers backpack would have food and tools and enough of that for a camp.
How does Ancient Rome affect us today?
They controlled 1/5 of mankind by killing over 80,000 people who fought against each other.
They created the very popular material which is called concrete to build the Aqueducts but we use it to walk on, drive on with much more.
They first found Concrete even though more than 2000 years later us modern humans still use it.
They needed a water source so they built the Aqueducts.
If you combined all the roads together it would be a total of 74,565 miles which they did very quick because some of the soldiers were engineers and all of this was amazing at that time.
How did Geography impact the development of Ancient Rome?
All the volcanic ash helped them make a solid piece to walk on and to secure things together which at the time was Concrete.
Due to water shortages the Romans built the Aqueducts
Rome needed 200 tons of rain each year which they never got so that meant the whole city would starve.
The Romans were surrounded by sea this made it easy to travel by sea but also easy for people to invade them.
Another advantage that has was they had fertile land.
