        Section 10: The Prohibition of of Corporal Punishment. Any person who applies corporal punishment can be charged for assault

        Classroom Space - The minimum space at the school must be: Grade R - i) learner 1.6m2 and ii) educator 7m2. Grade 1 to 12 - i) learner 1m2 and ii) educator 7m2. Children with Disabilities - 2m2 .
        
        Acceptable Norms for Classroom Size: Grade R - maximum 30 learners. All other classes: maximum 40 learners
        
        Order and discipline: Section 8: School Code of Conduct, Section 8A Search and Seizure of dangerous weapons and drugs, Section 9 - Disciplinary hearing - serious misconduct - suspension (for 7 days) or expulsion.
