All Ella's on stage, sitting on chairs in age order
actings as if they are on a train (holding railings, moving slightly side to side)
actors move on and off the stage, as if getting off a train stop, some rush in, some are sad, some are excited
this happens until there are 2 people left on stage.

mother (handbag), is annoyed that the train has stopped

Mother is first annoyed that the train has stopped as they will now be late for a party, then gets angry because Ella has spilled water on her jacket
Mother yells at Ella out of frustration, E begins to cry
childish monologue about how upset she is, how her mum is angry for no reason, how she hates trains

Ella is an old woman, on a train journey to visit her grandchildren

the order they sit in at the end mirrors the order they sat in at the beginning, shows how she is reflecting on her life as an elderly woman

GENERAL IDEA: how much humans change in their lifetimes. To further highlight this, the dynamic main character (Ella) is shown to be in the same situation of being on a train that breaks down, yet reacts very differently each time as she grows older.
TRANSITION SCENES: audio of clock ticking, actors move to the sound of each tick to their new positions. Signifies how time has passed between each scene
