Types & Criterias of Government Initiative
Enhanced Training Support
Purpose
Encourage small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to send employees for training and skills upgrading.
Provides 90% course subsidy when they sponsor employees for training
Claim Absentee Payroll funding of 80% of basic hourly salary, capped at $7.50/hour.
Eligibility
At least 30% local shareholding by Singapore Citizens or Singapore PRs
Employment size of not more than 200 (at group level) or with annual sales turnover (at group level) of not more than $100 million
Company has to be registered or incorporated in Singapore
Trainees must be hired in accordance with the Employment Act and fully sponsored by their employers for the course
Trainees must be Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents

Workfare Training Support (WTS) Scheme
Purpose
Encourage employers to sponsor their lower wage employees for training to upgrade their skills and improve business performance, by providing subsidies to employers.

Purpose
Increase employees' productivity and skills levels
Attract and retain valued employees
Eligibility
All organisations, companies societies and non-profit organisation registered or incorporated in Singapore.
Organisations who have tapped on government assistance schemes in the past, for similar funding components, may not qualify for some specific grant components.

Training Grant (up to $200,000)
Capability Grant (one-time grant; up to $20,000)
Curriculum Contextualisation and Alignment Grant (up to $52,000)
HR Development Grant (up to $60,000)
Compensation and Benefits System Review Grant (up to $15,000)
