Definition
A systematic and broad based learning plan designed to plan and manage training and development needs of the organization in order to achieve the company’s long term goals. It also maps out limitations and budget of the company to determine whether the plan is executable or it is worth executable.
Purpose of TCLP
Provide a guide to the HR department on course of action and a comprehensive and objective training package for all levels of staff in an organisation. A total learning plan provides a guide to the Human Resource Department on the course of action and also to other departments on the scheduling of training and development programmes
