factories use water to cool down big machines but the water that is contaminated usually goes into the ocean and fish and other organisms die and bacteria growth increases.

oil gets imported from other countries and the ship that imports the oil crashes or there's a hole in the container then the oil leaks out into the ocean

oil can also bleach coral because water and oil don't mix so it creates a barrier that blocks out the sunlight which coral need to survive.
