- - - - Designing DE instruction is NEVER as simple as just uploading the same materials, instructions, and procedures of a face to face class. Unfortunately, it seems like a lot of people have that impression, and I fear it might make many DE courses substandard.
      - Correspondence Project: More than just about anything else in this course, the correspondence project made me want to try actually teaching DE. I've never had the opportunity to do so, but I really found the challenge engaging. I was completely rethinking presentation of materials and instructional design. I hope whenever anyone designs a DE course they are doing the same kind of thinking: how can I make sure the students have a meaningful learning experience without my presence?
- - - - See? Look how long that blue line is! It's hard to see, but ODU is a solid 25-30 minute drive from my house (on a good day). So getting out there would have been roughly an hour out of my day (again, on a good day).
