The Point of View for this story is from a third person view, or not from any of the characters. I think that it makes the story, worse that Insignia because in that story readers can understand a characters thoughts, but in this story, readers could only see the actions and things, and not with thoughts.
For example in this evidence, we see the author simply tell us what happens, with no emotion or anything, making it more boring. If the point of view is from a character, we could see some emotions and feel like the characters. This makes it different from Insignia a lot, the structure in which the book is written.
