Squamous Cell Carcinoma
May be a white or red patch, ulceration, raised lesion, leukoplakia, nonspecific red lesions

High risk sites are floor of mouth, lateral borders of tongue, soft palate, and surrounding tissues
Spreads to local infiltration into surrounding tissues or metastatis to regional lymph nodes through lymphatic channels
Patients may experience weight loss, difficulty breathing, nerve involvement
Most early cases are treated with surgery, later a combination of surgery and irradiation
