Marital sex: unites a couple, shows commitment, mutual love and respect, possibility of creating new life
Extramarital sex: form of exploitation for personal pleasure, sinful
Human sexuality
sex before marriage: devalues it, no danger of STI's gift of virginity makes the person feel priviledged and loved
Homosexuality: sex should be procreative, homosexuals should live celibate lives, people are loved by God regardless, sacrament between a man and women
Church of England supports the idea of same sex civil partnerships, same-sex marriage was legalised in 2014 in England and Wales
A valid Marriage
8 conditions: remain together, free to marry, free will, not be closely related, consent, accept the promises of marriage, open to the gift of children, consummated
Nature of marriage

Annulment, Divorce and remarriage
Annulment:
if the marriage was not valid in the first place
Divorce:
catholics believe people should stick by their marriage promises as promises made before God cannot be broken
divorce may be the compassionate solution, it is impossible to know what the future holds
'What God had joined, no human being must separate'
Remarriage:
catholics believe the couple will not be able to receive communion, should not happen
Protestants will not stop those from remarrying receiving communion
Family planning and contraception

contraceptives stop the spread of STD's, worlds become over populated so it is more responsible

Catholics believe gender discrimination devalues a person and stops the use of God-given talents
made in the image of God
'
God created human beings to be like himself'
