Alzheimer's
Parts of the brain
Cerebrum: Fills most of the skull. involved in memory, problem solving, thinking, feeling, and movement
Cerebellum: Back of the head, beneath the cerebrum. Controls coordination and balance.
Brain Stem: Beneath the cerebrum, in front of the cerebellum. Connects to the spinal cord and controls automatic functions.

Types of Alzheimer's
Earliest Alzheimer's: may occur 20 years before diagnosis. Affects the parts of the brain that deal with learning, memory, thinking, and planning.
Mild to moderate Alzheimer's: occur from 2-10 years. Affects areas of the brain that deal with speaking, understanding speech, and spatial awareness.
Severe Alzheimer's: last 1-5 years. Individuals that suffer from severe Alzheimer's have difficulty remembering family, communicating, and caring for themselves.

Main types of Arthritis
Osteoarthritis: affects the hands, feet, hips, knees, and spine. Occurs due to abnormal joint loading.
Rheumatoid Arthritis: affects the hands, knees, and wrists. Can sometimes affect the eyes, lungs, or heart. Causes redness, pain, or warming of an affect joint
Systemic Lupus Erythematosus: affects the skin, joints, heart, lungs, blood, kidneys, and brain. Usually occurs in childbearing women.
