1967 - 1st time Aboriginal people considered human beings, having previously been counted under the flora and fauna act
First nations people had to fell timber form thousand year old trees for colonisers, which was then sent down the Maroochy river to large sawmills. The land was then used for cattle and sugar cane, resulting in soil which was lifted and dirtied the river, filling deep water holes.
