Request for Evaluation
A school professional may request that the child be evaluated to see if they have a learning disability. Parents may also request for an evaluation. These requests can be verbal but it is best to put it in writing.
The child is evaluated and it is determined if they require special needs, the child's specific educational needs, and what services are appropriate for addressing those needs.

Student must be reevaluated at least every 3 years to see if they continue to be a child with special needs.
