they overthrew the shogun, ending the Tokugawa period and restoring the emperor to power. After this the samurai no longer had a role in Japan.

A traditional theatre dance that was originally performed by women. However because prostitution became a side job which led to the shogun banning women from performing kabuki plays. Although men played the roles as women they still led to the direction of prostitution. Izumo no okuni was the creator of kabuki who started performing in fornt of audiences
