Fish -- timeline PART II (36) Fish is on the yacht, awaiting Pao's…

- - - - She seems very young. (She is just 18) And interested in Fisher. He thinks of her as a spoiled brat.
      - Ernie's wealthy uncle is on the yacht. As is her family lawyer. She is the heiriess of the Magog Industries Fortune. In a manner of days she'll inherit control of the company and become a billionaire.
      - It's Ernie's 18th brirthday party -- her other "trust-fund" kids are also in attendence, partying. Though several boys are flirting with her, she's most interested in Fisher. Again, Fish is ambivalent towards her.
      - 31) Stephanie is making major deals with Ernestina's uncle and other "people". She is making a show of keeping Fisher out of the negotiations. Instead, he's relegated to "babysitting".
        
        Ignoring Ernie's flirtations, Fish is more interested in Stephanie. He watches Stephanie and wonders if he can trust her. She is keeping him out of the arrangements.
        
        32) As the "grownups" make plans for a mega merger -- Gog and Magog -- and Fish is kept on the outside looking in, Ernie invites him to join she and her friends as they go ashore to a tropical island. (The yacht is in the gulf coast).
        
        While adventuring with the others ashore, Ernie kisses Fisher.
        
        Interrupting the two, a man comes out of the bushes, dressed as a tourist (over sized camera)
        
        33) The "tourist" lowers his sun glasses -- it's Didion.
        
        Fish tells Ernie to go back to the fire and get the BBQ ready. He wants to talk to this man for a minute.
        
        Ernie doesn't want to go, but Fish kisses her back and squeezes her bum. Fisher: Just do it, ok? She goes.
        
        34) Didion, in his cheesy disguise, tells Fisher the terrorist Wi Wi Pao (aka Colonel Pao) is planning to kidnap Ernestina. The kidnap is due to come at any time.
        
        35) MAJOR SURPRISE REVEAL: Jump back to modern times. Ashley drops in to visit Cookie. He's startled to see her. Seems to recognize her; scene cuts out.
        
        Didion tells Fisher he's to use his instincts and get abducted with "the Stimplton" girl to be taken to where Pao is hiding.
        
        FISHER: Are you going to come to my rescue -- track down where they've taken me? DIDION: When you make a positive identification on Pao, you'll notify me using this (he shows him an electronic box). FISHER: And how am I supposed to hide this? DIDION: Like this (and he breaks Fish's arm).
        
        Later: Why'd you have to break it?! Didion: I don't trust your acting skills (NEEDS TO RELATE TO WHO FISH IS AS A PERSON; COMMENTARY ON THE BIGGER PICTURE).
- - - - Steph: You'll do what I say you're doing. And I say it's time you start paying your dues to those helping you Fish. You and I both know Richter fired your ass on heresy alone, the pretense of impropriety. How quick you'd get canned if your full story got out.
        
        FISH: You really do have a problem with Ernestina flirting with me, don't you? It eats at you. Why? You and I are like alpha dogs whose paths have crossed for a night or two and then we move on. You've got more one-nighters under your belt than I do. You're the queen of the fling. STEPH: You'll recruit your firebrand girlfriend to do this work for Richter Stoneman
    - - The captives are forced to wear masks. They are lead into smaller water crafts, which motor them out to sea. Transition from night to early morning. After some time, the captives are lead onto an oil derrick.
      - At the start of the story, with his students, and the mail man who delivers a package, he's clearly a celebrity; known for a past act of bravery. These scenes on the oil derrick is the event in his past when he earned (fairly or not) his status as a hero.
      - 39) Held as captives on the oil derrick.
        
        Ashley is one of the pirates -- she's one of Pao's soldiers. As Fish is forced to stand before his captors, Ashley comes up to him and kisses him. Ashley: Nice to see you Fish.
        
        One by one, Steph and Fish are taken to Pao for an interregation.
        
        When it's Fish's turn, he discovers that Steph has been talking, and attempting to cast suspicions about him in Pao's eyes. Pao asks: You were JAG in Vietnam? Fish: I was also known to fly a few copters.
        
        40) Fish's past proves intriguing to Pao. He once recruited a Vietnamese general to come over to the US. And Fish got him repatriated. Pao wants Fish to negotiate her safe passage and amnisty to Canada.
        
        Stephanie can't believe Fish would think of helping a terrorist. She says you are finished as a lawyer for life. Disbared for life! You hear me?
        
        On the ship, Pao gives Fish a great deal of autonomy --he's allowed to move around freely . Ernestina is chained to Stephanie for a time. (This is where Stephanie tells the girl who Fish really is).
        
        41) Televised broadcast -- and Fisher reaches out to Didion -- using the radio; he's told to sit tight. Fish is upset by this.
        
        At one point Ernie is roped by her hands and forced to hang from the air as just her toes can touch. Fish comes into her cell. Ernie says: Miss Kraft was saying terrible things about you. He fucks her as she's hanging from the rope. (in part to take his frustrations out after talking to Didion)
        
        Ernie is presented as hanging from the rope in the broadcast
        
        42) Even though Fish was on Pao's good side, it's revealed that he's got a transmitter hidden underneath his arm bandage.
        
        Fish is beaten and locked in a cell.
        
        He's scheduled to be executed.
        
        43) Hours before his execution, Ashley comes in and helps him escape; he says we're rescuing Ernestina as well. The three of them escape from the oil derrick; riding a motorized water craft back to shore. (Or Fish flies the helicopter? Ashley flies it? The Cookie Maddox family are pilots? )
        
        44) Pao, with Stephanie in tow, follows after. She swares to kill the three of them.
