Susceptible bcoz they produce turbulent blood flow which lead to sterile thrombi vegetations where organisms colonize
Further thrombosis, can end up covering the vegetations where these organisms have colonized and protect them from antibiotics.
Acute
-
If untreated within 6 weeks, it is fatal
