When people first came to Europe, 80% of it was forest. By the 21st century, 30% of that 80% remained.
Europe is surrounded by six bodies of water making it kind of isolated.

In Medieval Europe, the black death(bubonic plague) spread all over Europe and over 25 million died. The black death was spread by ticks and rats.

Christianity was a big thing in Europe because it was their way of warship.

Art was a huge part of Europe and there were tons of artists. in the Renaissance period, Art was based around beauty and being human. but in Medieval times, art was based around religion.
Big Idea
I learned that the pope has a higher place than the king because he can kick him out of heaven and make it so he is not king. I learned that the tallest mountain in Europe is the Alps. The crusades killed Muslims and Jews and Pope Urban started the crusades. Europe is surrounded by six bodies of water. Christianity was based on Jesus and it had one god.

Pollution is a big problem because since the Japanese people live on an island, and their population is ever expanding, they will soon overcrowd Japan and pollute the land.
Natural Disasters
In Japan, since it is an island, there can occasionally be a volcano eruption or a flash flood, and rarely a tsunami.
Big Idea
Japan has a very interesting culture that can attract tons of people, but at the same time, can shoo them away. An example of this is the fact that Japan is isolated. This means that eventually, Japan will be overpopulated. This also brings up the fact that this means that farming and fishing would pay well which attracts people. Unlike other religions, the Japanese culture is to warship nature instead of gods.

Architecture is a big tourist attraction because the architecture the have in japan is beautiful and it attracts tons of tourists a year.

Japan has very fertile soil because it is a volcano and ash is one of the most fertile soils in the world.
Connections
Both Japan and Europe have one high ruler class, but in Japan their ruler doesn't actually do all the ruling. The class lower does the actual ruling. In Europe the king and queen rule everything.
Both japan and Europe have a class of solders that work for someone higher. In Japan, they have the samurai. In Europe, they have the knight.
Feudalism
Both Japan and Europe had Feudalism triangles. In Europe it was the King/Queen, the Lord/Lady, the Knights, and the peasants and serfs. In japan their was the Emperor, the Shogun, the Dynamo, the Samurai, and the peasants.
