- - - - Listening: Process where brain reconstructs electrochemical impulses generated by hearing into representations of original sound and giving it meaning
      - Attending: Process of focusing on certain stimuli from the environment
      - Hearing: Process where sound waves strike eardrums and cause vibration that are transmitted to brain
      - Understanding: Act of interpreting a message by following syntactic, semantic and pragmatic rules
      - Listening fidelity: Degree of congruence between what a listener understands and what the message sender was attempting to communicate
      - Responding: Providing observable feedback to another person's behavior or speech
      - Remembering: Act of recalling previously introduced info. Recall drops off in two phases: Short and Long
      - Residual Message: Part of message a receiver can recall after short or long term memory loss

        As there are a lot especially with social media, it is hard to concentrate on everything
