TYPES OF SCHIZOPHRENIA
CATATONIC

inappropriate affect.
agitation, highle energetic. can be controlled with strong medication.

PARANOID
presence of delusions, and pronounced auditory hallucinations.

DISORGANISED
most striking behavioural characteristic is silliness and incoherence.
burst into laughter, grimace, incoherence, and giggle without any appropriate stimulus.

UNDIFFERENTIATED
when induvidual does not meet any of the criteria for any of the types of schizophrenia. shows psychotic symptoms and poor interpersonal skills.
RESIDUAL
absence of prominent symptoms. -delusions, hallucinationas, disorganised behaviour.
