Introduction Info
The Internet is found 40 years ago by an American military research agency known as the DARPA. It has changed the way we liveand work in the last 20 years.
What is the Internet?
WWW stands for World Wide Web. and is a large part of the internet.
The Internet does not only contain web pages, but also other services such as:
Instant messaging
Chat room
Email
File transfers
New groups
Peer to peer networks
Forums
No-one owns the Internet. This is because each part of it is made up of individual networks that someone has put together and then linked to the Internet.
IANA is an international group responsible to organize web-addresses.
The World Wide Web
Not the same as the Internet.
It is 25 years old.
Developed by CERN in Switzerland, by Tim Berners-Lee around 1990.
Contains millions of websites.
Web sites, pages and browsers
Websites are hosted on dedicated computers called 'web servers'.
There are many browsers like Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Opera, Safari and more.
Each web page will always have an address (URL) which starts with http: or https: for a secure page. The http is a 'protocol'.

Information overload which makes it easy to feel overwhelmed by all the information.
Information can be biased
Some information are only one-sided as no-one owns the Internet and that people could start using their own opinions.
There are some inaccurate information.
Some material could be offensive in the internet especially with some illegal sites.
There could be phishing sites which will try to steal some personal information.
Addiction

Future of the Internet
There could be a possibility of web addresses running out.
The web is too big
Search engines only index small fractions of the internet and an area called the 'Deep Web' is an area search engines haven't reach yet and is getting bigger.
The Internet is too slow. Buffering often happens.
Connecting to the internet will increase
The online and offline world will blend together creating Augmented Reality or AR.
Conclusion
In conclusion, we'll all expect the Internet to become faster wherever we are as part of our daily lives.
