What is the internet?
The internet is made up of millions upon millions of small computer networks all brought together to form the vast "Inter-Network". That word never caught on, so it was shortened to the much easier-to-say "Internet".

It also includes other services like:Instant messaging, chat rooms, email, file transfer, news groups, peer to peer networks and forums.
The World Wide Web
The world wide web is part of the internet as the internet is 40 years old and the world wide web is only 25 years old.
It waws developed in CERN, the wrold famous underground physics labrotary in Switzerland.
The complete version of the world wide web is just millions of websites that has 1 or more web pages.
Websites, pages and browsers
Web sites are hosted on dedicated computers known as 'web servers'. These machines will send a web page to your browser when you request it.
There are many website, pages and browsers and some of the browsers are firefox, chrome, internet explorer and safari.
Each websites has a URL that is deifferent from others, they normally start with http: or htpps:.
Use of the internet
The internet is used for a lot of things like homework, research, games, entertainment, and so much more that no one can remember.
They are also used for communication when you are not in direct contact with your friend or family member. They are online meaning that they also use the internet to power it.
People now these days are using the internet to go shopping as some people are limited in time and they don't have the time to go to the shop and buy it from there. There are lots of websites that allow people to seel their stuff and become basically a shop owner without having a shop. That makes people much easy to make money.
Benefits of the internet
We get loads of benefits from the internet, some are discussed in the use of internet.
We get up to date info as people could just easily put up a opic and people could already study on it.

Even though the internet is the ultimate solution, it can be harmful like hackers could hack into your account and get your information and stalk you.
