2 - Capital Punishment/Death Penality
A government sanctioned practise where a person is sent to death/execution. 56 countries have it like USA (CA,TX), Japan, India. Used for crimes like murder, treason and war crimes.
Methods include hanging (Japan), shooting (China), Lethal injection (USA), electrocution and gas inhalation (some US), beheading (Saudi Arabia).
UK - last 1964, abolished 1965, made illegal 1998.
USA- murder rate lower when no death penality, therefore doesn't act as a deterrent. With (5.5), without (3.1). Costs 70% for death penalty than life long sentence.
