It was run over by a car and from then on CS Lewis was known as Jack
He was homeschooled
After his mother died, his dad sent him to a boarding school
His next school was closer to his family in Belfast. But he was ill most of the time.
So he was sent back to a school in Worcestershire in England
In the end, he has lessons with the tutor that his dad did.
Lewis and his friend Paddy Moore were both in the WWI
Sadly Paddy was killed
In April 1918, Lewis was wounded
The war ended in November 1918
He was born in 1898 in Northern Ireland on the 29 November
Died in 1963
His dad was a solicitor
His mother died in 1908 when he was 10
