CS Lewis
In 1925 lewis got a job in a university as an English teacher in 1954 he moved to Cambridge uni.Lewis and his friends met in a pub to talk about books they called themselves the inklings, one friend named JRR Tolkien read bits of the book he was writing, it became the lord of the rings.
He was first taught at home but when his mum became ill and died his dad sent him to bording school.the school was horrid and soon closed lewis was very glad to come home.
1916 lewis went to collage althoug most students were away fighting in the war.In 1917 he volunteered to fight and so he went to france at the age of 19.Lewis and his friend fought together but sadly paddy did die.In April 1918 Lewis was wounded and in 1918 the war ended November.
born in north Ireland 1898 , he studied in oxford university, he was a soldier in world war one, for most of his life he worked a s a proffer. married in 1957 and died in 1963.
Lewis was brought up a cristian but later became an atheist but at the age of 33 he went back to bieng a cristian which he said was the most important time of his life
Lewis had promised his friend paddy he would look after his mum jane moore so he and his brother shared a house with her and her daughter
later he met an american women named joy and they got married in 1957.Joy was already ill and died in 1960, lewis looked after her two sons by her first marriage
Lewis wrote seven narnia book the last one published in 1956
Lewis became ill in 1961 and died at home in Cambridge in 1963 22nd November. It was the same day that president john F Kennedy was shot in america.News papers and tv were full with news of the shooting.death of the narnia writer was not noticed but lewis was stil world wide fam.
When world war two started three evacuee girls came to live with lewis.
