Women have to find ways other than direct confrontation to achieve their goals, and finding alternatives to direct confrontation is at the core of nonviolent resistance
I think at a more fundamental level, this is not necessarily about women getting the credit they deserve and becoming the rightful leaders of conflict resolution
Instead its about how what we allow ourselves to see influences how we see ourselves, and in the case of conflict resolution, how we believe movements should be run and won.

What makes the choice hard is our misunderstanding of conflict due to the focus of our narratives, and how centering the narrative around women will raise the likelihood of adopting nonviolent methods when waging conflict.
