Why do you think both the receiver and the giver aren't allowed to tell people about the dreams they have.
People are not allowed to dream tell.I think they are not allowed to tell because it might bring back up memories.And their memories are not allowed to be brought back up.So it is better if they do not share them.-Kayla

I think his feelings about his training varies. Whenever he receives a happy memory he feels happy. When he receives a sad memory he gets sad and doesn't like his training. Also I think he's a bit scared to do his training because The Giver said it requires physical pain.~Dylan.

The life in the community is painless and predictable because no one knows what true pain is. The giver and the receiver have to hold all the painful memories and because of that they feel true pain. The only pain the community feels are things like cuts, bruises, and sprains. -Dylan

I think Jonas was picked as the receiver of memories because he had the aspects of one. He was smart, kind, courageous, and brave. He was also the only 12 who was qualified for it . ~Dylan
I think the community needs a receiver to help them out. The giver even said in the book "I get called to help out with what the community can't solve. When the jet flew over the community they called in the giver.~Dylan
