Life here is so orderly, so predictable—so painless. It’s what they’ve chosen” (p. 103-black book, p. 130-white book). Explain the significance of this quote.
I believe that Jonas may be bored with this old way of life, and hints towards the fact that he wants to govern himself.- Kyle D.
i think jonas is becoming a actual person as in one who can feel and think for himself for that is what describes a human as the people of the community are more of the context of a slave a peson who obeys Nick Hitt
The quote could mean there is nothing different everything is perfect and that the people or elders have chosen that because its the best way to live with no judgement no pain everything is perfect. - corey
Because the elders have changed the community so there isn't much of anything and its important because they didn't mean to make it like that. -Ethan Notarfrancesco
This means everything is the same and nothing ever changes in the community, it is also really easy Garyt smith

Based on Jonas’ experiences with snow and sunshine, what can you infer about the community? Use text evidence to support your answer.
I can infer that the community has never seen such elements like snow and sun before, so Jonas was very excited to be able to witness such a thing for the first time. But, he will probably become disappointed that he can't see it in his real life. - Alyssa Hoover
I infer that people know about snow and sunshine because of new people coming to there community and there ancestors
Garyt smith
They have never experienced it jones didnt seem to know what it was at first he thought it was pricks then realized they were to soft that shows that probubly no one in the community knows what they are dont even know they excist . - corey
“…The books are forbidden to citizens” (p. 102-black book, p. 128-white book). What does this quote imply about the citizens?
I think it implies they are not aloud to know of the knowledge in the books they probably don't know other books don't exist so they don't try to rebel from what they learned from the books. -corey. w
Why does Jonas fear a self governing society?- Kyle D. (Refer to Pg. 124 in the white book) (Black book I have no Idea -_-)
I think he fears a self governing society because everyone has different opinions on things
Garyt smith
How are you? - Mr. Cap
-
I'm having a bad day.
Why is that?, did you get banned on fortnite?- Kyle D.
-
Do you think that Jonas' ability to see beyond is a good ability? Will it have consequences? Why? - Alyssa H.
I Think that Jonas' ability would help to predict disasters and such, however, most probably wouldn't believe him.- Kyle D.
well the job of a giver is to show the elders what can happen from decions like the plane in the begging was going to be shot down but the giver gave them the memory of war Nick hitt
trin- The ability definitely will have consequences. When the Giver gave Jonas the memory of him in snow and jonas felt the pain, even when he woke up he said he could still feel it.
what is causing the people to see the world is this way of no color and no emotions because it is in possible to change a persons view without medication
but the kids se the world like this without taking the pills
Nick Hitt
do the other givers know about not taking the pills for stirrings can strengthen there powers of memory
