Problems that a young child or young person may experience as a result of poor quality care
poor mental health
lack of support
If the right support is not provided such as carers not taking the child or young person to their appointments about their mental health or any problems then the child's mental health can deteriorate as well as if the child is not getting any support from their carers then they may feel down and unaccepted meaning that their mental health could be getting even worse.
lack of understanding
If the carers are not trained or have a lack of understanding of the child's or young persons mental health problems then it could mean that the child is not being helped in the right way and their mental health can deteriorate meaning that they may feel done a lot more and they may face more health problems if the right support is not being provided
build relationships with undesirable characters or those with similar needs
children and young adults will want to build relationships with people with similar need because they think they fit together and they may start causing trouble as a result of not having any boundaries and being able to do anything they desire
issues to develop trusting relationships
constantly being let down
low self esteem as they may think that they are not worth anyone's time
block out any support offered due to losing all trust in them by being let down so many times
more likely to be at risk of abuse as they might think that noone is listening to them and end up keeping everything to themselves
lack of stability
movement of placements meaning that the child or young adult cant develop a secure attachment because their family keeps changing and they lose their trust
no consistency in placements meaning no consistency in people because they may end up in different placement once they get settled and they have to do it over again meaning they know they'll move again and don't bother settling anymore because they have lost all opf their hopes
few or no barriers/rules which may lead to exposure of criminality and risky behaviors such as stealing and violent behavior against peers and parents when they are not happy with something because they have not been told whats wrong or not to do and they think that what their doing is right and there won't be any consequences to it.
lower educational outcomes
due to lack of importance placed on school
may not be able to support themselves due to not being able to get a job without any education and understanding of the role
