H. Pylori causes inflammation, increased gastric secretion in antral gastritis, decreased gastric section in fundal gastritis
chronic gastritis causes chronic inflammation, mucosal atrophy, & epithelial metaplasia.
Acid hypersecretion, gastric anoxia, altered natural defenses, altered epithelial renewal, changes in tissue mediators, reduced intramucosal pH, and intramucosal energy deficits are factors that cause the injury
