What do students think about taking a break during class?
94% of the 290 who took the survey stated that they enjoy taking breaks.
Results for #3
Out of 290 students, 20% found it to be relaxing.
Of the 290 students, 88.6% felt that they were more focused with the breaks.
What observations did teachers make about breaks in their class?

COMMONALITIES: Nine teachers commented that several students said one or more of the following:
“I liked the break.”
“I hope we have more breaks like this in the future.”
Positive Comments
STANDOUTS
Students would work more when the break was getting closer.
Two teachers and one student agreed that either valuable instructional minutes were lost due to the break or “I didn’t learn anything during break time.”
No difference in focus before or after the break.

How do students think about their focus (self report of focus at the end of the period)?
After doing the T-test the value was less than 0.05 which made it significant.
We conducted two t-test because we had more data on the first week.
Our average for no break was 3.74 (out of 5)
After the break week the average was 4.04 (out of 5)
The students felt like they were more focused during the break week

The number of students off task went down from 4.7 from 3.5 per class as an average
