Customer Facing
Started as Tech Support Specialist
Entailed a lot more than just answering technical questions,
(SUCH AS?)
Quickly grew, promoted to payroll specialist (1 out of 3 including our manager)
Started doing implementation, leading demos, while also being technical support
During this time, because our workflow was so congested, spoke with teammates and manager in order to create a new system with me leading as a CSM type position where I got to try out different CSM strategies and KPI's using research on my own time
New Workflow:
1) Implementation specialist would implement + run through 2 payrolls
2) They would be handed off to me for a 3 month period where I would be their consultant/personal support specialist
3) After I was sure they were good, they were handed off to main support staff for any exterior questions they might have
What have you been up to since unemployed?
Learning, taking online courses, reading books
Helping family, as they were going through personal issues. Included watching over the liquor store
Now that things are more situated, I'm looking for a job
Part-time work in order to get some money
About a time dealing with a client
Angry client about server shutdown. Spoke with him in an empathetic and apologetic manner, and consulted on how to do offline as well as to how to apply in to our system
Difficult client wanted a feature we didn't have (assigning clocks to punch in both job and position to show up on time cards and checks). Consulted to figure out what they really needed was the checks to show the hours per position, but the punches were set to job by default. Figured out a workaround so that the punches show up separated by position instead.
