What Is it?
Different from charity which focuses on eliminating the negative effects of social problems, Philanthropy focuses on eliminating the social problems as a whole.

Example. Instead of giving someone who is hungry food that will temporarily quell their hunger, philanthropy is teaching them how to grow their own food to eliminate their hunger all together.
