Hide & Seek
Characters
'Runaway agent'': The agent who escaped off the plane and managed to teleport herself to safety. Her motive is to leak out information and save the world before it's too late.
Two agents: These two agents (who are also aliens) report back to their boss/leader with a status update on the runaway agent. These two are later sent off to find her. They both seem to fear their leader but they choose to listen and obey her orders.
'Alien boss': The leader of the organisation who is an alien in disguise. She's shown to have a very short temper. Her aim is to destroy mankind and take over the world.
3 extras: The three extras will only be needed in the silhouette action sequence to pose as agents trying to fight and capture the agent who escaped.
Kit requirements: JCV HM 150E camera, a tripod, class 10 SD card and a mobile phone camera.
Sets and location: Whilst in India I can film the a landscape which would look good behind the silhouette action sequence. I will also be filming in the college studio and I plan to use the green screen.
Props: Alien contact lenses by Mesmereyez, a toy gun and some 'top secret spy' documents.
Lighting ideas: In order to achieve my desired look for my action sequence, I will have two professional lights facing the camera behind the actors at a safe distance to create a silhouette effect. Other than that, I will be filming in a dark isolated room where it's only source of lighting is provided by the studio lights. When filming outdoors, I won't require artificial lighting as I would already have natural lighting.
Costumes: All black formal clothing. The silhouette action sequence will require the actors to wear slightly tight fitted black clothing so their shadows are cast properly. This would also make the shadows look more visually appealing as the audience would be able to identity each character by their shadows.
Plot: An agent is on her way back from a mission on flight MH370 when she discovers the leader of her organisation are aliens in disguise who plan to abduct the plane and eventually take over the world. She manages to escape of the plane to India by using teleportation which was provided to her as a gadget from the agency. From that moment on, she begins her quest to take down the organisation and it's leader and save the world by exposing the aliens before it's too late.
Tone: Not to be taken seriously as it's only made for entertainment purposes. Just like any feature film, the narrative of this film is a bit cheesy.
Theme: The themes of this film are the mysterious disappearance regarding flight MH370, aliens plotting to take over the world, and an agent doing what's morally correct for the world and acting selflessly.
Budget: The ticket has already been bought by my parents meaning I would only have to spend money on props. My budget will be from £10-£15 (£15 maximum).
Sound design elements: For this film both non-diegetic and diegetic sound will be present. When filming I will be using diegetic sounds as my actors will be saying their dialogues. The only time I would use non-diegetic sound is when I'm doing a voiceover explain how she escaped, and sound effects such as a gun shot.
Colour grading: Black will be a dominant colour shown throughout my film as it's symbolic of strength and mystery.
Casting: My cast members will be performing art students from Solihull college, the reason being I already have a few actors in mind and we all know each other personally, also they're college students which makes it easier for me to film as I don't have to worry about their whereabouts and there's no hassle in getting them on location.
Ethical: Filming footage on a plane, for example filming the view from the video, might cause commotion and unwanted attention by passengers on the plane. The action sequence might not be deemed as appropriate by some people and they might mistake it for something else or a real fight.
