It has also made significant progress in protecting human rights, although Human Right Watch states that it still has serious concerns about the treatment of minority groups, together with women's rights (e.g. violence against women, such as rape), discrimination over sexual orientation and gender intently and disability rights. Nevertheless, the Indian government is committed to improving India;s human rights further as the economy grows.
