Idaho produces 27 billion dollars in agriculture per year.
The amount of arable land used in Idaho has has decreased 294,400 acres in the last two decades. This is part of the process of soil degradation. Bringing in more industries can break down the land
One reason this could be is due to the fires in Idaho which burn down the trees and allow desertification to occur. Because the trees are dead and are unable to compact the soil, erosion is a possibility and it could erode parts of the top soil.
