Community Orders
:black_flag: Criminal Justice Act 2003: created one community order under which the court can combine any of the requirements they believe are necessary
this allows to fit the offender's needs
offender is age 16 and over
:black_flag: s.177 CJA 2003: "where a person age 16 or over is convicted of an offence, the court by or before which he is convicted may make an order imposing on him any one or more of the following requirements"

exclusion requirement
curfew
unpaid work
supervision requirement
Unpaid work requirement
40-300 hours on a project organised by probation
hours fixed by the court
worked in 8 hour sessions
Prohibited activity requirement
banned from a certain place where they caused trouble, or banned from a type of behaviour
aims to reduce re-offendings
Curfew requirement
remain at a fixed address for 2-16 hours in any 24 hour period
up to 6 months
must be a means of checking - tags or a security company in local area do it
Supervision requirement
under supervision of a probation officer for up to 3 years
attending appointments persistently
