EQ1.1 What is human development and why do levels vary from place to place

      - Inequality of Incomes - The inequalities between people within a country, in terms of how long they live and how happy they feel, based on the distribution in each country's life expectancy and well being data. Inequality of outcomes is expressed as a percentage.
      - Ecological Footprint- the average that each resident of a country place on the environment- based on data prepared nu the global footprint network. Ecological footprint is expressed using the standardized unit- global hectares (gha) per person
    - - Considers the actual ‘ends’ of economic activity in the form of life satisfaction and longevity.

        But despite the progress, Bolivia remains one of the poorest countries in Latin America. According to the World Bank, roughly a quarter of Bolivians still live on only US$2 a day.
      - As far as development is concerned, the Morales model is a socialist one, but does not look beyond giving all Bolivians a share (not necessarily an equal one) in the wealth derived from the country’s natural resources.
        The model has a rather limited view of development, and it has little to say about the more ‘human; aspects of development, such as education, equal opportunities, or freedom of speech.
