Communication Ch 4 Language (Language Is Rule Governed (Phonological Rules…
-
To me I have noticed through my life that linguistic intergroup bias when it comes to reflecting who is in the group and who isn't. Due to this I have experienced this bias when it comes to interaction with others due to status especially in high school of course, where it was the most prevalent to me.
Personally for me language is one of the best ways that we can communicate to one another as sometimes reading symbols may be helpful in understanding or decoding messages from others or a meaning of something in general.
The rules of how language is to be perceived in terms of how society governs it through either face-to-face communication or in any other model. To me this is very important when I talk to someone in terms of understanding the usage of language of it is perceived in communication as a whole, is something I noticed and do as well.
I can say from personal experience that there can be misunderstanding of certain usage of ways to communicate through language alone. Like for example for me during my time in high school people would use slang language in order to communicate in short ways rather then the long way of say something. For me it was hard to interpret what they meant or were trying to say in general.
Question 1 Answer: The thing that surprised me the most is that language actually has rules in terms of how its supposed to be governed. Which is interesting to say the least, since I have never knew about that until now.
Question 2 Answer: I guess you could say that I am having a little bit of a hard time understanding the power of language as a whole with its new terms of defining the power of language.
Question 3 Answer: I actually want to learn more about the language of misunderstandings as to how much do they play in our daily lives when communicating with people in general.
