Word Ordering (WO): child forms complete/correct sentence from random-ordered string of words (3-7 words). Organizing Task.
Relational Vocabulary (RV): child tells how 3 spoken words are alike. Organizing Task.
Picture Vocab (PV): child points to 1 out of 6 pics that best represents series of 2-word stimulus. Receptive Vocab.
Morphological Comprehension (MC): child distinguishes b/w grammatically correct/incorrect sentences. Receptive Vocab.
Sentence Combining (SC): form one compound or complex sentences from 2+ simple sentences spoken by SLP. Expressive Vocab.
Multiple Meanings: SLP says word; child responds by stating as many diff meanings for word as the he/she can. Measures Vocab, requires organizing/speaking ability.
Organizing: WO, RV.
Speaking: SC, MM.
Listening: PV, MC.
Grammar: SC, WO, MC.
Semantics: PV, RV, MM.
Spoken Language: SC, PV, WO, RV, MC, MM.
Testing
Subtests = Not timed. Can take 35 - 50 min.
In a quiet room free of distractions.
Administration is individual.
Repeat item ONCE if child asks.

Raw Scores are converted to Scaled Scores & Percentile Ranks
Subtests: mean: 10 & SD: +/- 3
4 types of Normative Scores. We will focus on Percentile Ranks, Scaled Scores, Composite Indexes.
Composite Indexes: mean: 100 & SD: +/- 15
All other subtests have ceilings.
SC, WO, RV: Ceiling = 3 in a row.
MM: All items should be administered.
MC: Ceiling = 3 out of any 5 consecutive items after 10.
Can score more than 1 pt in MM / 1 pt for every correct.
PV: Ceiling = 2 in a row.
All subtests except MM: 1 = Correct / 0 = Incorrect.
